Saturday Workshop: Expressive Painting for Self-Discovery (KITAREKA)
About the Event
KitaReka Expressive Painting for Self-Discovery
Join us every Saturday for a session of free expression using painting as a tool to reconnect with yourself.
It is a precise method based on the work of Arno Stern at the Research Institute of Semiology of Expression in Paris that enables people to express, explore and experiment.
Trained facilitators create an environment of safety, non-competition and non-judgement, and are able to recognize graphic manifestations and their vocabulary.
WHAT IS EXPRESSIVE PAINTING?
It is using process painting as a platform to connect with yourself and to express your emotions freely using paint, paper, and brush.
As children, we come into the world brimming with curiosity and wonder but along the way expectations, criticisms, and judgements make us fearful and we lose confidence in ourselves.
Expressive painting is a process that enables you to discover yourself and become a purposeful, confident, and joyful individual. It is rooted in the values of respect, integrity, courage and kindness for self, others and the environment.
