About the Event
A DIY Repair Movement
A Movement to encourage YOU to fix YOUR own stuff rather than just throwing them away!
What is KakiRepair?
It is a movement to encourage people to have the habit of repairing their broken things, rather than just throwing them away. This is a place to learn to diagnose and fix the items yourself.
Do also note that this is not a repair shop and the idea is not to bring your broken items in to pay someone to fix it, you will learn to fix it yourself. Basic tools, references, and guidance from experienced community members will be here to assist you.
Who can participate?
It is OPEN to Anyone! Don’t worry if you don’t know how to repair them, let’s diagnosed them together along with Kaki Repair community members (Made out of DIY enthusiasts) and we will try to tackle the issues together.
Those of you with basic knowledge and experience in repairing things are welcome to join us! Do come over to help out, make some friends and help us to grow this movement.
Why are we doing this?
As part of KakiDIY’s motto “RECYCLE, REDUCE, REUSE", We can greatly reduce waste and reuse broken items around us by repairing them or making it into something new.
What can be brought in to repair?
Anything modular that you can fit them in your car and be carried around!
**Definitely not a 2 tiered fridge OR an 18 footer yatch =)
Here are some examples:
So what are the charges?
It’s FREE of charge. Although donations are welcome to help the movement grow and impact more communities.
Bring your family and friends too! They can also learn a thing or two on how to fix some stuff at home.
